What should my child wear? Children should wear comfortable stretchable snug fitting clothing. Baggy clothes can be a hazard when doing different skills. Please no jeans and other clothing with buttons, snaps, or zippers. Socks or bare feet are fine. But please check that the feet are “relatively” clean. You know - don’t bring Johnny to class directly from playing army with his buddies in the sand dunes in tennis shoes with no socks. Yikes! Keep in mind that to keep costs down we won’t have to install showers to require the children be “relatively” clean prior to taking class!
What is Priority Deadline? This is the last day we will accept enrollment from ONLY currently enrolled students…. before we begin enrolling new students for the next term. We will give your students statements (billing) for the next 8 week term at week 5. You have the following two weeks to respond by either 1. Re-enrolling (we think that is the best option!), simply by paying check, cash or credit card for your student(s). 2. Indicating you wish to stop lessons. (not the best option). In the unlikely event you do wish to stop, we would sincerely like to know why. Your input to helping us grow our business is valued! If payment is not received by the deadline and the class is filled with new students it is conceivable that your child may lose their spot in that class. (It has happened!) A $10 late fee can and will be assessed if payment is not received before the start of the new session.
Can parents watch classes? Absolutely! There is seating on the floor of the gym and upstairs. While we realize that the viewing upstairs requires you to stand, we do appreciate you up there. The may come a time it will be required, as we grow, into needing the space downstairs. We do also ask that you DO NOT PARTICIPATE in the coaching of your child during class. If there are too many directives being shouted from the sidelines it will be too distracting to your child and the class. If it happens often we may deduct points from your overall scoreJ. No students are allowed on the equipment without a coach. That certainly includes siblings on ANY mats or other equipment. Thank you for your efforts in entertaining them.
What happens if our gymnast misses a class? We will try to be accommodating to have your child attend a like class; however that may not be possible. We strive to keep to our ratios 8:1 and don’t want to overload any classes. Call the office for possible make ups. If we can’t find a comparable class you will be issued an open gym pass. Only two make ups or open gym passes per 8 week term is allowed per student.
What about bad weather? Check the radio for school closures in Kennewick. We will follow their cancellations for the mornings.

What about refunds? There are NO REFUNDS. Credit for future fees at the gym can be given. If there is no way around a refund a $20 office charge will be taken. (Ouch!)
What do I do if I have a complaint? Please let the office know or leave a note. Your input is valued and if there needs to be some discussion of the origin of the complaint Brett or Wendy will get back to you. We strive to make Garland’s Gymnastics the place to be.
